    Offered for your consideration is this Antique Hand Painted Roses Metal Floral Plate Advertising the 1909  J. H. QUEAL & CO. LUMBER & COAL Company located in Yankton, SD. This business is listed in the 1909 South Dakota State Business Directory published by The Gazetteer Publishing Co., Denver, CO in 1909. George D Brown & F.S. Vaughan were the managers of this business and the address was 'yard on Broadway near Northwestern Railroad tracks' :) The hand painted luscious roses are lying beside the vase waiting to be put into water. On the back of this plate it reads: “J.H.QUEAL & CO. | LUMBER & COAL | YANKTON, - S. DAK.”.  This metal plate has a diameter of 10” & has gold rim wear & possible water stains, old scuffs & some light corrosion. This is a guaranteed antique plate over 110 YEARS OLD. We live approx. 13 miles from this town & had never heard of this QUEAL LUMBER & COAL COMPANY before this plate came in.
