    Description

    Braniff International Airways was an American airline that operated from 1928 until 1982. Its routes were primarily in the mid-western and south-western United States, Mexico, Central America and South America. For auction is a "Souvenir Flight Packet" provided to passengers on Braniff's flights. It is from the early 1950s. The packet is comprised of a heavy cardstock folio that measures appx 9 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches closed and opens to appx 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches; each inside page has a slot into which items were placed. Included in the packet are (a) a brochure describing an installment payment plan for traveling, (b) an Avis Rent-A-Car brochure, (c) a Hertz Rent-A-Car brochure, and (d) a pre-paid envelope addressed to Braniff's President containing a form for passenger comments.

    Braniff International Airways
    was an American airline that
    operated from 1928 until 1982
    . Its routes were primarily in the mid-western and south-western United States, Mexico, Central America and South America. In the late 1970s it expanded to Asia and Europe. The
    airline ceased operations in May 1982 because high fuel prices and an overaggressive expansion
    of its service. Braniff was well-known for its
    "jelly bean fleet"
    of airplanes which were painted in many different colors and schemes.
    For auction is a "Souvenir Flight Packet" provided to passengers on Braniff's flights.
    It is from the early 1950s. The packet is comprised of a
