ANTIQUE/VINTAGE 8 1/2" CELLULOID HEAD BABY DOLL ORIGINAL CLOTHES

Description

8 1/2" baby doll early to mid 20th century. Celluloid head; torso and legs of straw stuffed pink muslin; composition wrists-hands.
Condition:
Head is excellent with original painting. No manufacturer's mark.
Jointed body is intact but legs are quite yellowed with age. The right forefinger is missing as well as the tips of the thumb and third finger of the right hand.
The clothes are mostly quite yellowed with time with small tears and lace separation. There are four pieces: dress, long slip, half slip that ties at the waist, and a camisole; pants and booties are missing. The dress was hand sewn at the back some time ago by someone other than me. I did not undress the doll to see the torso better since I didn't want to risk damaging it.
I've attached numerous photos to show the details better than I can explain.
The doll has obviously been in this box for a very long time but I have no way of knowing since there are no markings. There is old tissue type paper crumpled in the bottom of the box as well as a mat of natural cotton.
I never attempted any repairs or cleaning to either the doll or her clothes because I felt it was just too precious as it is. And 'as is' is the way I'm selling it.
