Celluloid Dutch Boy & Girl Dolls w Clothes + Rooster Toys / Display Lot (3) Vintage
This is an attractive lot of (3) Celluloid Figures – great for display or to add to a collection.
This lot features two dolls and a toy rooster.
The boy and girl dolls are made totally of celluloid and are wearing Dutch style felt clothes. All clothes look to be handmade. The dolls arms and legs are attached with elastic. There is movement in the arms and legs but they are fragile and they do not hold
a seated position or one with outstretched arms. The dolls measure about 5-1/2 inches in height. Their clothes look like they were sewn in place on the doll and without taking off the clothes, we can’t tell if there are markings on the dolls or not. The boy doll has no celluloid issues on the parts of his body that are showing. The girl has a hole above her right eye – and it is hard to tell if her face has a small dent or if that is how she was made. The clothes show some fading and several small holes.
The rooster is in very good condition. It is marked Made in U.S.A. It measures 3 inches in length x 2-1/2 inches in height.
All in all, there is some age- and wear-related scuffing, scratches, dust / dirt marks and paint loss.
