    THE ITEM DESCRIPTION:
    Henry & His Brother celluloid wind-up toy is in the original box. Made in Japan circa 1934. Toy measures 6 1/2” to the top of Henry's head. The celluloid figures are mounted on individual wheeled tin bases. Henry's base has the wind-up mechanism & as he rolls forward he pulls his brother along. Toy is working. The brother wears a distinctive cap & his head nods as he rolls forward. The Henry figure is identical to the figure on the Henry & Porter toy. The brother closely resembles the figure on the triple trapeze. The platform has a paper sticker in back behind Henry's shoes with Carl Anderson copyright Japan on it. The celluloid figures are in excellent original condition. The backs of both figures have a dragonfly trademark. The original box is complete & excellent condition.  The box has the Carl Anderson copyright information & the toy manufacturer's trademark(CK inside a diamond). The trademark is in the early style in that it includes registration in Japan U.S.A. & India England. Note that this toy was NOT distributed by Geo. Borgfeldt which also reinforces my opinion that it is the first of the Henry celluloid toys. Box also has the inventory No. 719/1951. I am selling the celluloid Orphan Annie & Sandy toy which is identical to this one & on its original box you will find identical markings.
