    Description

In this 30-35 year old videotape, you’ll enjoy 2 full hours of marvelous diesel action which not only features the history & life of the FT-103 before it’s 50th anniversary in the fall of 1989 for EMD’s open house, but there are lots & lots of vintage color & black & white films of other early diesels including FMs, E8s, FAs, & countless units. A look at the repair shop & repainting facility for the 1939 built locomotive is featured with special appearances by other diesels that are visiting the event as well: Reading 5513 from the blue mountain & reading in Pennsylvania, Monon BL-2 number 32 from Kentucky, Santa Fe FP45 101 in the red & silver warbonet scheme, Chicago & northwestern 1518 which is the first GP7 to be assembled, great northern SD45 number 400 from the Lake Superior railroad museum, the building of a Union Pacific SD60M in the shops, & even others from Conrail, Burlington Northern, & of course EMD.
While this tape doesn’t have its own case, the label is still there but it’s been worn a little bit over the years since it was released. At least the tape itself played well.
With plenty of detailed narration from Tom Moran, this tape was printed on the 277th day of 1990.
