THE ITEM DESCRIPTION:
The Mickey Mouse celluloid nodder is 7” tall which is the standard size. [I have a very RARE reduced size nodder 6” tall for sale on eBay now]. The overwhelming majority of Mickey celluloid nodders have black ears. This one has RED ears. The red ears while appearing to be somewhat washed out or faded is the original color. The maker used a different red for the ears than for the red shorts & red tongue. The celluloid is in excellent original condition. The black arms, legs  chest have had a little in painting where the black paint was worn. Black is the easiest color to match & touch up. There is some paint loss(blue) on the top of the domed tin base just below Mickey's feet. It has a rubber band that connects the top of the mechanism to the base where it is held in place by a wire & which you turn a few times then release & the head will nod in time to the pendulum in back. Working condition with a new rubber band. Japan 1930s. 063021/18ADJ(10)
