, is a completed, finished cross stitch design from Bent Creek Snappers.
The design tells the story of
The Red Thread
which is based on an ancient Chinese belief.
"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break."
The first design shows a snowman with a red scarf that flows into LOVE in a February Valentines heart, which flows into the string of a March kite, and so on through the months until we are back in with the snowman in December.
Each one is connected by a red thread to show how we are all connected.
There is a  border that wraps around the 12 designs, as well as the snaps and
lovely little heart and star buttons.
This would be lovely to frame as a holiday gift for your spouse, the family or as a special gift for a an adopted child, a special friend, or for anyone who would appreciate the thought.
The piece measures 38" long  X 9-1/2"high. The design itself measures approximately 32" X 4". There is plenty of room for framing.
The size makes it perfect to hang over a doorway.
The date and initials of the maker have been stitched at the bottom, but they could easily be removed if desired.
There are some tiny needle pricks where the fabric was briefly basted. This is at the ends, and very hard to find even when you are looking for it! Would never be seen when fabric was stretched for framing. It is outside the framing area. Could also be steam out when pressing. Makes no difference to the piece whatsoever. Just mentioning for the sake of full disclosure.
